AWA Project Highlight: Mill Brook Terrace- “Everyone deserves good lighting”

AWA Project Highlight:
Mill Brook Terrace  l  New York City

AWA passionately believes that good quality senior housing is a cornerstone of a city’s needs. Currently, 16% of the NYC population is over 65 and that number is increasing at a rapid rate. AWA’s recently completed Mill Brook Terrace is a benchmark project in the Bronx for senior housing in NYC. AWA developed the lighting design for the entire building which included 158 residential units and a public senior center.

AWA is proud to have been a part of the design team with the architects Perkins Eastman to design this residential building for seniors with very low incomes. The design team shared the client’s (WSFSSH) mission to provide a design that supports the dignity of each individual and enhances the community both inside and outside the building while creating a welcoming and nurturing environment.
