The lighting design scheme for South City Prime in New Jersey required designing an intimate and luxurious atmosphere appropriate for fine dining. Color was used strategically to frame the entry to the bar from the main dining room, to heighten drama in the private dining room with bold, oversized, red, pendant lamp shades, and to add a spike of orange vibrancy to the bar area. Warm but neutral-colored light in the main dining room plays up the appearance of the food in contrast to the livelier colors of the bar and lounge. Grazing light highlights the texture of the white leather quilted walls and the sparkle of the elaborate three-tiered chandelier.
