Orris Floreal Tower and Mall in New Delhi is a mixed-use project located directly on a major highway. The several hotels and office complexes around this project lead to substantial footfalls for the mall. We created a strong sense of identity through an aesthetic approach to lighting landscape elements and linking different public programs together. The circulation program, always an important design element in such core and shell projects, was analyzed at length, and then a dynamic ceiling pattern was chosen. The major innovation that engaged the local skillset was designing custom fixtures that were suspended from the ceiling in clusters of 6 meters in length and 1.8 meters in diameter. Avoiding any maintenance issues, these fixtures were used to highlight the tremendous span of the atrium roof.
