SSKC (Salapuria Sattva Knowledge City) is a commercial complex located in the High-Tech City corridor of Hyderabad. This technically-advanced group of buildings is home to many IT and financial companies. Located within this sprawling complex are health clubs, restaurants, food courts, and other essential facilities like banks, convenience stores, and pharmacies.
The lighting concept for this project was inspired by the five elements in nature— earth, air, water, fire, and sky. The landscape lighting was designed to create an open environment where the five elements were seen through light in the space. The lighting for the commercial complex creates a layered hierarchy that enables pedestrian movement to flow seamlessly. Simple and key moments for the facade lighting were composed from the strong architectural elements of the fins and terraces. The vertical fins from ground-up on the facade to the tip of the crown create a verticality for the tower that was visible from multiple viewing vistas. The terraces created lighting bands on the facade that showcased the massing and people interacting, thereby providing human-centric moments of space personalization in this vast complex.
